Building Codes require that one wire be used for each connection contact. Lite-A-Switch (LAS) may only be installed on switches that have dual connection points. If your switch does not have dual contacts, it will need to be replaced. Note: Your switch will already have two wires attached to it and you will use the unused contacts to wire the LiteASwitch.
1. Turn Power OFF (at fuse box)
2. Remove old wall plate
3. Remove light switch
4. Confirm light switch supports dual wire connections. If not then replace switch.
5. For 2 way switch, dress both wires of LAS on same side of LAS as they will be connecting to the same side of the switch
6. For 3 way switch, wires are dressed on each side of wall plate and switch
7. Use the unused wire connections (screw terminals or push pop style) to install LAS wires
8. Screw the wall switch back into the outlet housing while letting the LAS hang freely
9. Align the LAS to the wall switch and dress wires back into the outlet housing then secure LAS wall plate with screws.
Note: Works with halogen, standard light bulbs, fluorescent tube lighting and standard dimmer controls.
