We knew that there would be many adjustments to make when Dad moved in with us. I don't think any of us realized just how much there was to do to make our house comfortable and safe for him. Dad had a hard time making his way around at night. If we left the lights on, he had trouble sleeping. I travel more than I want too and I see many hotels. No matter how much I travel, I never feel completely safe when I am alone at night. I usually leave some lights on so I can see the door and find my way to the bathroom at night. I suppose that serves a purpose, but it is hard to sleep with the lights on. It seemed like we had just gotten our toddler to sleep through the night when we had our new baby. When we would flip on the hall light to take care of the baby, we often woke up Colby.
